RELIGIOUS SERVICES. J 0.0. F. HALL. ALLEN STREET, THE FIFTH LECTURE OF THE SERIES ON “THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST” WILL BE DELIVERED (God Willing) IN THE ABOVE HALL ON SUNDAY At 7 p.m. SUBJECT: “RUSSIA INVADES PALESTINE” THE IMPENDING CLIMAX TO THE PRESENT-DAY EUROPEAN AGITATION FOR “COLONIES” AND THE UNPRECEDENTED PREPARATION FOR AVAR. IN the course of this lecture evidence will be produced to showfl) THAT the prophecies clearly indicate that when the very conditions exist in Palestine that exist to-day an attempt ■ would be made by a confederacy of . European nations under the leadership of Russia (Gog) to wrest Palestine from the protecting hands of Great Britain (“the merchants of Tarshish with all the young lions”). (Ezekiel 38, Dan. 11:4G—15, Joel 3 :12, Zech. 12:9-14, Zech. 14:1-3, 1 Thess. 5:3). (2) THAT although the invaders will experience an initial success for “Jerusalem shall be taken” (Zech. 14:2) and “the land of Egypt shall not escape” (Dan. 11:42) the prophecies clearly indicate they will meet their doom upon the mountains of Israel through the intervention of Jesus Christ returned to earth. (Eze. 38:18-23, Dan. 12:1, Zech. 14:3). (3) REASONS will be given why this coming event in definitely indicating the presence of Jesus Christ upon earth will be wbat Jesus Himself referred to in Matt. 24:30 as “THE SIGN OF THE SON OF .MAN IN HEAVEN” (Matt. 24:3 and 36, Zech 12:9-14. Luke 21:24). “AT THE END THE VISION SHALL SPEAK AND NOT LIE” (Hab. 2:3). N.B. —See next week’s “PULPIT MESSAGE” column for report of above lecture. Questions invited. No collection.
