PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Featherston County Council proposes to raise a Loan of £BOO for the erection of new Headworks for the above district and the construction of Water Races therefrom and as security for the Loan and the annual charges thereon intends to levy on the Unimproved Value of all Rateable Property in the said District on a uniform scale an annually recurring special rate of jd. in the £1 oyer a period of 10 years from the granting of the Loan or until the Loan is paid off. Application has been made to the Minister of Internal Affairs for authority to make and levy such rate on a uniform scale. Any person having objection to the making of the said rates as aforesaid is requested ' to lodge his objection in writing with the Honourable the Minister of Internal Affairs, Government Buildings, Wellington, within 21 days after first publication of this notice.
