University Senate Makes Appointments IMPORTANT CONFERENCES Delegates to international conferences that are to be held in England this year were appointed by the senate of the University of New Zealand at its meeting yesterday. The pro-chancellor, Mr. H. F. Von Haast, M.A., LL.B., was appointed the fourth’ delegate of the University of New Zealand to attend the conference of the universities of the British Empire in London next July. The other delegates. Professor H. G. Denham, Mr. H. J. D. Mahon, 8.A., and the London agent of the university, Dr. A. J. Harrop, were appointed by the senate at its last meeting. Professor Denham and Mr. Mahon were appointed delegates to the seventh world conference of the New Education Fellowship, which will be held in Cheltenham in August. Dr. Harrop and Dr. W. P. Morrell were appointed delegates to the AngloAmerican conference of historians, to be held in London next July. Dr. Morrell is a New Zealand graduate and is now reader in history at Birkbeck College, University of London.
