Independent Order of Oddfellows There was a fair attendance at the recent meeting of Loyal Rose of the Valley Lodge (Manchester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows). Bro. 11. Hewer, Noble Grand, presided. Lodge honours were accorded a visitor from Loyal Moera Branch Lodge. A letter of recommendation was granted a member. Invitations were accepted for two socials, and the social committee reported completed arrangements for the forthcoming dance. Bro. Clark was presiding officer at the last meeting of Loyal Newtown Lodge (Manchester United Independent Order of Oddfellows). Bros. Allcbck and Beil were elected to represent - tire' lodge rrt the Wellington Hospital Association's.annual meeting on March 7. Bros. Clark and Rhodes were elected as rtptese'ritatives lit' Loyal Britannia Lodge’s ■ annual smoke concert early in March,,. Apologies were received from'the'lecture mistress and vice grand, both .of whom were absent on account of illness. The financial secretary was asked to represent the lodge at Loyal Britannia Lodge's 93rd annual smoke concert. Sisters Reynard and McFarlane were elected ae-delegates at the Wellington Hospital Association’s annual meeting early in March.
