WORK TO BE RESUMED

Smithfield Strikers

London, February 9.

The Transport and General Workers’ Union announces' that the Smithfield strikers have agreed to resume work on the recommendation of the executive council. Arrangements will be made to meet the employers on Monday.

It is unlikely that there will be a resumption of work before Tuesday night. The announcement followed a mass meeting of strikers.
