OBITUARY

Dr. Arthur L, Anderson The death has occurred at Whaugnr.el of Dr. Arthur Leonard Anderson, formerly a well-known practitioner at Wellington. Born at Wellington in 1873, Dr. Anderson was a son of Mr. David Anderson, and was educated at ■Wellington College, the MedieaWSehool at Otago University, and at Edinburgh University, where he took his M.D. degree. From Edinburgh he came to Wellington to practice. During the Great War he served in France and Mesopotamia, returning to New Zealand afterward and retiring to Whangarci, where he began fruit-farming. He is. survived by Mrs. Anderson and their young daughter, and by a brother, Mr. Ernest 11. Anderson, of Eastbourne, aud a sister, Mrs. W. .1. Shaw, of Auckland. The late Mr. D. W. Anderson, who died a few weeks ago. was a brother.
