Two canaries’bud u lucky escape from death when Sunday morning’s gale dislodged their cuae from ,i usually sheltered corner on a secondstory ' veranda of a New Plymouth boarding-house. They were found In the morning on a ledge on a rockery 20 feet below In the upturned cage, cold but otherwise uninjured.
