There seems every possibility of New Zealand being visited by the New South Wales State Orchestra, according to a statement made in Christchurch by Mr. 11. Gladstone Hill. Mr. Hill was the organiser and manager for the tour of that orchestra in 1920, under the direction of Henri Verbrugghen. He has consulted with the director of the cous'ervatorium, Dr. E. Bainton, and Messrs. Frank Hutchens and Roland Foster, who are all in New Zealand now. Mr. Hill said that the director considered the time opportune for another visit, and as the orchestra was playing very well and had reestablished itself in the public interest, there should be no reason why another tour should not bo arranged. The tour was likely to take place in the September vacation of this year, and not during the mid-summer as on the previous occasion. Mr. Hill said that as time would be limited it was not proposed to make the tour as comprehensive as the last one.
