Mr. F. Whatley has returned to Wellington from the South Island.

Mr. C. P. Agar arrived at Wellington yesterday from Christchurch. Mr. W. Simin left Wellington for the south last night.

Mr. F. Picot travelled south last night from Wellington.

Dr. H. G. Denham, ot Canterbury University College, left Wellington last night for Christchurch. Mr. D. A. Palmer has returned to Wellington from a visit to the South Island.

Mr. B. Martin, Deputy-Mayor of Auckland, arrived at Wellington from the north yesterday.

Dr. E. Marsden, secretary of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Affairs, returned to Wellington from the south yesterday morning.

Mr. G. E. Hoddincott. of the Wellington staff of the New Zealand Shipping Company, lias been transferred to the Dunedin branch of the firm.

Dr. Murray A. Falconer, of the Otago Medical School, has been appointed house physician to Lord Horder at the Hammersmith British Post-gradu-ate Hospital. Lord Horder is physiciau-in-ordinary to the Prince of Wales and one of bis Majesty’s physicians.

Pilot Officer Wilfred I. Collett, son o' Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Collett, Gisborne, has completed his training at the R.A.F. Flying Training School. Grantham, Lincolnshire, and is now attached to No. 14 (Bomber) Squadron, A.M.M.A.N., Transjordauia. Mr. W. Birss, of Auckland, honorary consul for Ecuador, accompanied by Mrs. Birss, is visiting Wellington.
