Powdrell are Wanganui visitors to Hastings. Mrs R. Carthy, Wanganui, is spending a holiday at Kawau Island and Brown's Bay. Mrs. A. M. Anderson, Kelburn, has returned to Wellington from a trip to England and America. Dr, and Mrs. David 'Whyte have returned to 'Wellington from the South Island. The Rev. and Mrs. C. 11. Isaacson, Greytown, will spend a three weeks’ holiday at their cottage at Otaki. Miss Dunlop, Dunedin, is the guest of Miss Molly Maeassey, Talavera Terrace.

Mrs. Walter "Wagstaff, who has been visiting Auckland, has returned to her home in Overtoun Terrace, Hataitai. Mr. and Mrs. J. McGuone and Miss McGuone have returned to. Wellington from a holiday visit to Queensland. Mr. and Mrs. Foster and Miss Helen Foster, Wellington, are spending a holiday at the Queen Charlotte Sounds. Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Wolfgang, who have been spending a holiday in Auckland, have returned to Wellington. Miss Jean Watters.Hawke’s Bay, is visiting Wellington for the races, and is staying at the Midland Hotel. Miss Patricia Harman, Palmerston North, is the guest of Mrs. I. T, Standish. Goldies Brae, Mr. and Mrs. Orton, Mesdnmes H, D. Bates, J. B. Davis and G. Glenn, are among the Wanganui visitors to Wellington for race week. Miss J. Holdsworth, Whakataki, Masterton, has returned from a visit to Hawke’s Bay, where she was ihe guest of Mrs. F. Hewitt, Waipukurau. Miss Mary Chesney, Lower Hutt, has returned from Central Hawke’s Bay, where she took part in several tennis tournaments.

Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Wray, who have been living in England for some years, have returned to New Zealand and have taken up residence at 63 Salamanca Road, Wellington. ■ Captain and Mrs. Rankin, Mr. and Mrs. Beaumont Smith, Mr. and Mrs W. Mrs. Morley, who before her marriage was Miss Dora Haywood, is well known in Wellington. Having sold their homo in Sloane Street, London, she and he? husband are making a tour of New Zealand. They will spend a fortnight here before leaving for the South Island.

She will spend a fortnight here with her parents before sailing on Tuesday, February 4, for Sydney, where she will be the guest of Mrs. von Schilling, Point Piper. Colonel and the Lady Victoria Braithwaite will visit New Zealand next month. The Lady Victoria was well-known to New Zealanders as Lady Plunket when her first husband, the late Lord Plunket, was Governor of New Zealand. Her visit is of particular interest to Canterbury, where her daughter, the Hon. Mrs. Tahu Rhodes, lived for some years. Mrs. Macpherson. Masterton; Mr. and Mrs. Helliwell and two children, Mr. and Mrs. Cook. Mr. - Levy, Miss Bucholz. Mr. and Miss Meech, Miss Anderson. Mr. Mansfield. Mr. and Mrs. Burgess and son. Thompson, Mrs. Yates, Miss Burke, Mrs. Walker, all of Wellington, have been staying at Tlri-Moana. Queen Charlotte Sound. Dr. Dorothea Norman-Jones, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. A. Norman-Jones, Lower Hutt, is returning to New Zealand by the Orontes for a six months’ holiday. Dr. Norman-Jones has for the last 12 months been a house surgeon at King’s College Hospital, London, having gained the Cambridge Tripos in first-class honours, also her M. 8., B.Sc. She is a former pupil of the Wellington Girls’ College. During her stay in Wellington she will be the guest of lier aunt, Miss Laura Wilkinson. Lower Hutt.
