INJURED BY FALLS
Yesterday’s Accidents Falling from a height' of 12 feet off a ladder at Petone yesterday morning, Mr. M. Daly, 44 Nelson Street, Petone, broke both his right upper arm and right forearm. After being attended by Dr. R. A. Bakewell he was taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance. A fall from an appliance in the children’s playground at Island Bay caused Frederick Stephenson, aged 10, of 21 Waripori Street, to cut his left knee so severely that he was taken to hospital by the ambulance. Mr. R. Burns, Earp Street, Johnsonville, suffered an injury to one of bis feet when a rail fell on it while he was working at the Hutt Railway Workshops. He was treated by Dr. J. T. Harding and later taken home by the ambulance.
