Victorian Championship Won (Received January 19, 6.30 p.m.) Melbourne, January 19. P. Mathieson, New Zealand, won the Victorian 100 yards backstroke championship by three yards from J. Thistlewaitc, Victorian title-holder, and Tom Withers, former champion, was third. Time. I.S 3-5.

At the 55 yards mark Mathieson turued two yards ahead of Thistlewaite and Withers.
