Widespread concern has been caused by the news that the condition of his Majesty the King, who has been suffering Lorn a chill has become serious enough to occasion anxiety to his physiciai... Ever since the King’s last critical illness a few years ago. Ins constitution has been less robust, though his health on the whole, excep for a slight indisposition just prior to the Royal Jubilee celebiations, has been satisfactorily good. His Majesty s strong sense of dub, and his conscientious devotion to the affairs of State, has caused some anxiety lest he should over-tax his stiength. lisanun oi tunate circumstance that his present indisposition shoud have overtaken him in the depth of the English winter, and during a period of international anxiety which cannot but press heavilv on his mind. His Majesty’s loyal and affectionate subjects throughou the British Commonwealth of Nations and the colonial empue wii hope and pray that he will pass safely through this latest crisis and be speedily restored to health and strength once more.
