Chicago Lawyer Kills Rival Attorney

Room Thrown Into Wildest Confusion

Infuriated by an adverse ruling froin the Bench, John Keogh, veteran • practising attorney, calmly drew a revolver in Court to-day and killed a rival attorney, Christopher Kinney. Keogh (hen fired three times at the presiding judge, narrowly missing him. At the burst of gunfire the courtroom was thrown into tlie wildest confusion. Spectators and attendants dropped to the lloor while the judge dropped behind the bench and crawled on hands and knees to the safety of his chambers. When arrested Keogh said he was not sorry for his action. He hoped it would create enough publicity to prove his point, which involved real estate mortgage litigation. "I did it as a soldier, not as a murderer,” he said.
