An unusual accident occurred in Broadway, Newmarket, Auckland, on Saturday evening when a front wheel of a motor-car came off suddenly and ran across the footpath, and crashed through the large plate-glass window of an unoccupied shop iu a building at the corner of Broadway and Remuera Roud. The car, which was driven bv Father G. McHardy, a visitor from New Plymouth, came to an abrupt stop, but was not damaged.
