Ministerial. The Hon. I’. Fraser. Minister of Health and Education, will leave Wellington this morning for Napier, where he will discuss with deputations questions concerning hospital and educational control in Hawke’s Bay. The Minister, on arrival, will be given a civic reception, and in the evening he will attend a Labour function in hid honour.

The Hon. D. G. Sullivan, Minister of Railways, Industries and Commerce, returned to Wellington yesterday from Christchurch.

The Hon. AV. Lee Martin. Minister of Agriculture, left Wellington by the Limited express train last night for Hamilton, where he will attend a meeting of the Waikato Central Electric Power Board, of which he has been a member for several years, and also a meeting of the Dominion Executive of the women’s division of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union. Tiie Minister will also visit. Huntly.

Mr. A. S. Richards, M.P. for Roskill, is visiting Wellington. Sir Charles Nathan, Perth, accompanied by Lady Nathan, is visiting New Zealand.

Mr. D. P. Lindsay, of the staff of the Dannevirke Boys’ High School, .-s visiting Christchurch. Mr. C. A. Wilkinson, M.P. for Egmont. and Mrs. Wilkinson, are. visiting Auckland. Mr. J. H. Rice, chief clerk of t'he Burns, Philp and Co.', Ltd., travel bureau, arrived at Wellington from Sydney on Tuesday. Mr. E. T. Norris, registrar of the University of New Zealand, left. Wellington yesterday for Auckland to attend the annual meeting of the Senate of the University.

Professor T. A. Hunter, vice-chancel-lor of the University of New Zealand, left Wellington yesterday for Auckland to attend t'he annual meeting of the Semite of the University. Mr. A. J. Clark, A.T.C.L., organist and choirmaster of the Methodist Church, Woolston, Christchurch, is spending a holiday with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. James Bootten, Mountain Road, Eltham, Taranaki.

Dr. 11. L. Fowler, lecturer in charge of psychology department in the University of Western Australia, Perth,' arrived in Auckland by the Mariposa, on a brief visit to New Zealand, and came to Wellington yesterday. Mr. W. .1. Bradley, K.C., a prominent barrister. of Sydney, and president of the Royal Automobile Club of Australia, arrived by the Mariposa for a short holiday in the Dominion. Major H. J. O’Neill and Mrs. O’Neill, of Devonshire, arrived at Auckland by the lonic from London on Sunday to spend a holiday in the Dominion. They will remain in Auckland a short period and then leave for Rotorua. Mr. R. E. Gillon Ims returned 'to Wellington from Rotorua and Auckland.

Mr. L. Bullard, an American breeder of Jersey cattle, who owns farming property'situated 200 miles from New York, arrived nt Auckland by the lonic to spend three weeks studying dairying in New Zealand. Mr. W. T. Trethewey, Christchurcn, will leave Wellington to-morrow by the Raugltane for England; where he will supervise the casting of the bronze statuary group for the war memorial to be erected in the grounds of the Christchurch Cathedral. Mr. D. G. Mawson, formerly of Auckland University College, has been appointed to the staff of the Christchurch Boys’ High School. Mr. Mawson returned to Auckland last week after completing a year’s appointment in charge of the mathematics department in the University of Western Australia during the absence of the professor.
