DROWNING VICTIM

Palmerston North, January 14.
-Mr. C. Hodgins, who was drowned while bathing at Rarotonga, was a former resident of Palmerston North and an ex-pupil of the High School. He was a son of Mr. Michael Hodgins, formerly proprietor of the Phoenix (now Imperial) Hotel, and served his apprenticeship with Stockwill Bros., jentists, before launching out on his own account. He was keenly Interested in Rugby, playing full-back for the Kia Toa Club and also representing Manawatu from 1908 to 1912.
