Postmaster-General To Christen Aeroplanes

SERVICE OPENS TO-DAY TO PALMERSTON NORTH

The Postmaster-General, Hon. F. Jones, accompanied by Mr. N. S. Falla, managing director of the Union Steam Ship Company, will Uy from Wellington this forenoon in a Union Airways Miles Falcon for Palmerston North, from where the Union Airways service is to be inaugurated. After an official luncheon at Palmerston North the Minister will christen the aeroplanes and declare the service in operation. As already reported tintrial flights to and from the South Island were perfectly successful.
