British Work Proceeds Apace (British ’Official Wireless.) (Received January 13, 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, January 11. Excellent progress continues to be made with the Government’s five-year slum-clearance campaign. Figures issued by the Minister of Health, show that a total of 4260 replacement houses were completed during last November, compared with 3784 in October, the November figure being the highest monthly figure since the opening of the campaign. The number of replacement houses under construction at the end of November was 41,517, compared with 41,101 at the end of October. This is also the highest monthly figure yet reached.
