COPRA CARGO AFIRE
Vessel at Vancouver Vancouver, December 27. A four-hour fire occurred in the copra cargo in the hold of the Cape York, belonging to the Union Steam Ship Co. of New Zealand, at dock here. The damage is undetermined. Captain H. Townsend believes the damage to be slight and expects little delay. Six of the firemen who were overcome with fumes recovered.
