Napier-Gisborne Line (From "The Dominion," December 30, 1010.) It is understood that the Hon. R. McKenzie, Minister of Public Works, will tour the proposed route for the NapierGisborne railway, from the Napier end, some time in January or February. The Minister will be met at various places by settlers, who intend to put in a strong claim that some kind of commencement shall be made from Napier. It is generally conceded that by extending the Wel-lington-Napier railway from the Napier end, much good would be done by bringing a new and splendidly fertile area into immediate touch with populous towns and districts, from which would be drawn a pioneering population of settiers similar to those who have performed so successfully on the Main Trunk line. a « ♦ The enterprising firm of John Fuller and Sons, having found His Majesty's Theatre too small and behind-date for the requirements of their ever-increasing business, have decided on an extensive building scheme, which will mean the demolition of the popular picture theatre in Courtenay Place, Wellington. This old structure, which in its time has played many parts, is to disappear, and in its place is to rise a substantial modern theatre adapted in every way to the requirements of a modern theatre ami picture palace.
