WEDDINGS

Reaney—Ayrc On December 21, at St. Mary’s, Karori, the marriage took place of John Hugh Reaney, son of the late R. 11. Reaney and Mrs. Reaney, Wadcstowii, Wellington, and Katharine, daughter.of the late Captain F. J. Ayre, R.A.M.C., and" Mrs. Ayre, Gimingham, Norfolk. The Rev. Mr. Kempthorjie officiated, and the church was prettily decorated with white Howers.

The bride, who was escorted by her mother, wore a gown of white satin, and a tulle veil with orange blossom and carried a shower bouquet of roses, carnations and abutilon. Miss Marguerite Webb was bridesmaid. and wore a dainty frock of blue floral georgette and carried a bouquet cf pink and blue delphiniums, roses and sweet peas. Mr. Robert Reaney acted as best man. The reception was held afterward by Mrs. Ayre at the rooms of the National Club, Wellington.
