SUPREME COURT SITTINGS

The first quarterly siltings of the Supreme Court, 'Wellington, next year will open on February 3. Mr. Justice Smith will preside at the criminal sittings. and Mr. Justice Ostler will hear the civil eases. Other judges will assist Mr. Justice Ostler and Mr. Justice Smith as they return from circuit. The Chief Justice (Sir Michael Myers) will open the Supreme Court sittings at Napier on February 10 and at Gisborne on February IS. Mr. Justice Blair will proceed to Palmerston North and open the sittings there on February 4. He will then go on Io Auckland and hear cases there from February 17. The New Plymouth and Wanganui sittings will be opened on February 16 and February 24 respectively by either Mr. Justice’Ost lev or Mr. Justice Smith. Mr. Justice Smith will preside at the Blenheim sittings on March it), and at the Nelson sittings on March 17.
