SPEEDWAY MEETING

Reappearance of Kilmister Track records are expected to receive a shaking at Kilbirnie Speedway next Saturday night, when the New Zealand champion, Wally Kilmister, will make his appearance after three successful seasons abroad. Kilmister has just returned from England after a very successful season as a member of the Wembley Speedway team. Also appearing next Saturday will be the Australian star, Lionel Van Praag, who made a spectacular appearance at Christchurch last week, when he scored the honours in the teams’ race against such champions as Dick Case and the English' Test captain, Erie Langton. Three American- stars will also be on the bill, Manual Trujillo, Byrd McKinney and Ray Grant. These riders have been having a busy week tuning their motors, and expect to show their real American form on Saturday evening. Special trams have been arranged for the meeting, and reserved seats may be obtained at either U. E Claridge, Manners Street, or the D.I.G.
