MEMORIAL GIFT

Late Dr. D. Colquhoun Dominion Special Service. Dunedin, December 18. A gift of £lO6/6/- has recently been made to the council of the University of Otago by the old students of Dr. D. Colquhoun, acting through Dr. Nelson, of AVangauui. -Dr. Colquhoun, who died recently, was professor of medicine in the University of Otago Medical School from 1883 to 1919, and was emeritus professor from 1919 to thej time of his death.

It has now been decided that the gift will be used first to provide a memorial tablet which will be erected in the lobby of the building in p’liich Dr. Colquhoun lectured during the latter years of his professorship, and secondly for the provision of a memorial medal and money prize to bo awarded annually to the best student in medicine of the graduating class.
