Strickland Beaten by Wilde London, December 16. Jimmy Wilde, the Welsh heavyweight boxer, outpointed the New Zealander Maurice Strickland over twelve rounds at Swansea. DAY AND JONES DRAW Sydney, December 16. At the Stadium to-night, in a fifteenround bout, the American. Tommy Jones. 10st. Olb.. and the Australian. Jimmy Day. 10st. -lib., fought a draw. The latter started sluggishly but finished with remarkable dash.
