PIONEER’S DEATH

Body Found in Creek

Thames, December 17.

The body of Walter Peters (65), a married man residing in the Kaiaua district, across the western side of the Firth of Thames, was found in a creek on his property yesterday afternoon. Mr. Peters, who came from North Auckland, was a pioneer and big cattle dealer. He took a keen interest in local affairs, and was once well-known as a cricketer. He is survived by his wife, three daughters and a son.
