Wanganui.— The morning was close, fine and cloudy, and the afternoon dull and overcast, with occasional showers of rain. VVaipuhurau.— Warm but overcast during the morning; one hour of steady rain at noon, clearing in the afternoon. Intermittent showers fell in the early evening, the temperature dropping by 7 p.m. to 65deg. Christchurch. — Sunny and fine with a moderate east-north-east breeze; maximum temperature 6S.9deg.; barometer steady at 30.28 in. Dunedin. — Ideal summer weather was experienced to-day, with bright sunshine and -a light north-east breeze. The maximum temperature was 68deg.
