Championship Points Results of matches played on Saturday by the Upper Hutt Cricket League are as follow: — Training Depot A defeated Methodist by an innings and 2 runs. Upper Hutt, 255 (Nunn 106, Douglas 45, Donaldson 24, Murray 22), defeated Training Depot B, 141 (Prior 43, O’Neil 34) and S 9 (Prior 31), by an innings and 25 runs. Ordnance, 148 (Brizzle 46, Allardyce 45). won on the first innings against St. Joseph’s, 80 (Quinn 20) and 163 for six (Morton 59, Tohill 49, Allen 29). Trentham, 76 (Francis 29) and 111 for six, declared (Grigg. Jun., 53, Francis 33). defeated Maori Bank Colts. 53 and 120 (Smith 40. Skerlon 25) by 15 runs. Championship points are as follow: — Training Depot A, 45; Trentham, 34; Training Depot B. 32; Methodist, 21; Colts and Ordnance, 19; St. Joseph’s, 14; Upper Hutt, 8. The league competitions are suspended until January 11, 1936, and the annual knock-out competition will be held on December 21 and December 28 and January 4. ,
The Petone and Lower Hutt Gas Lighting Board, at its meeting last night, decided to make a donation of £5 to the Wellington Free Ambulance.
