A paragraph in the annual report pf the Christchurch Golf Club reads:—“Because the club has a very definite liability for injuries to the public owing to the lay-out of certain holes near roadways, the committee has effected a public risk insurance policy which takes over the liability through negligence for personal injuries from both this club and the ladies’ club and, also, indemnifies any member of the two clubs whilst playing golf on any course in New Zealand. The cost of this insurance is 2/- per member. Limit, £5OO any one accident.”
