DAMAGE BY FIRE
Eight Buildings Gutted Sydney, December 16. Eight buildings in the centre of the town of Mungindi were destroyed by lire last night, while other premises were saved by the strenuous -'(Torts ot a bucket brigade of 209 men and by tire-breaks made by demolishing some houses.
Tlie damage is estimated at about £5OOO.
