PIGEON RACING
The I’etoue Homing Pigeon Club llew a race from Opua (412 miles air line) during the week-end. The birds were liberated by the stationmaster in fine weather with a north-east wind. With a perfect day.
they put up a very good performance, the winning bird being several minutes ahead of the rest. The following arc the placings:—G. Woodward's War Black. 1367.56 yards per minute, 1; W.
