OVER £9000 FOR HOME

Auckland Property Sold By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, December 13. What was stated to be probably the best price received for several years at an auction sale of house property was realised, when £Ol3O was paid for "Baltina rd.” the residence in Remuera Road of the late Miss M. T. Horton. The property was purchased by the Hou, J. Alexander, M.L.C., on behalf of a. client. "I do not know of anything which has sold so well at auction since the depression,” said a business man in close touch with the property market. “It has to be remembered, however, that good places of this sort do not frequently come on to the market and that there were three buyers bidding keenly for it.” The property comprises a two-storey-ed wooden house of about 13 rooms and offices standing in approximately an acre of ground, with a frontage of 20S feet 6 inches to Remuera Road. The grounds are beautifully laid out in flower beds, lawns and shrubs, and the site, which is one of the finest in Auckland, commands magnificent views of the harbour and gulf. The proceeds of the sale will be invested by Hie trustees of Miss Horton’s estate, their eventual destination being the Auckland Anglican Cathedral fund should the terms of Miss Horton’s will in respect of the fund be fulfilled.
