Death of Ship’s Porter

Melbourne, December 13. The body of James Taylor, aged 22, a porter on the Monterey, who has been missing from the ship since Sunday, was found near the pier at Port Melbourne yesterday. The police are inquiring into Taylor’s death. They express the opinion that there has been foul play, as Porter’s head was severely injured. He had attended a party on the night prior to his disappearance.
