LABOUR VICTORY DANCE

On Monday night, in the Town Hall, a grand victory dance and queen carnival ceremony will be held under the auspices of the New Zealand Labour Party. The crowning of Miss Eda Hening, the Suburbs Labour queen, will be the final event of the queen carnival committee’s activities. Miss Hening will be attended by the other queen candidates; Miss Mavis Jeffries (Central), Miss Minnie AValton (North), Miss Jessie McKeen (South), and Miss Iryn Tucker (East). The arrangements for the ceremony are in the hands of Miss W. Cooley, and a spectacular display is assured. An excellent orchestra ■will provide the music for the dancing. The crowning _ ceremony in conjunction with the victory social and dance promises to be one of ( the most outstanding events of the year.
