Almond and Prune Sweets These delicious little sweets are easy to make, and you and your friends will enjoy them. Cut into pieces eight large soft prunes. Skin lib. sweet almonds after dropping them into boiling water, then chop them, into small pieces. h Roll lib. of icing sugar,"put it into a basin, and mix in the prunes and almonds. I Have ready some boiling milk,' pour a little at a time on to the mixture and stir with a wooden spoon. Knead on a board till the mixture can be handled. Use as much hot milk as necessary to make a solid paste; cut the sweet into little . rough pieces, leave on a sieve to dry, then place in small coloured sweet cases and arrange in pretty dishes. . ...
