A “KISSING-BUSH”
Most effective Christmas decorations can easily be made at home. Imitation holly and mistletoe can be bought quite cheaply. The holly is easiest to deal with if the sprays are wired ou to a central cord or length of thick string, and in this way pretty garlands can be made. These are useful either as table or as wall decorations. They can also be used with sprays of mistletoe to make an attractive “kissing-bush.” For this three wooden hoops are needed. These can be painted green if desired. They are arranged to fit in-
side one another, and the garlands of holly and sprays of mistletoe are fastened on to the Hoops with green wire. Lengths of red or red-and-silver ribbon could be twined on to the hoops with the holly, and a silver bell or coloured witch ball hanging from the centre adds a finishing touch. It. is not always convenient to attach coloured streamers to electric-light fittings, but they can be fixed easily and quickly by. passing them through a fairly large curtain ring secured Io the underside of the “kissing-bush.”
