Quiet Sale at Feilding Dominion Special Service. Feilding, December 13. Small yardings were offered and met with a quiet eale. The sheep penned were mostly stragglers from flocks and did not attract much competition. 1 rices lor good fat sheep were on a par with late rates. The store sheep, except for one pen of two-tooth ewes in very good condition, were not up to the standard acceptable, and consequently the sale was sticky. The store cattle pens were lightly stocked, and there was a fairly good range of prices for the lines offered, hat cattle reserves were too high in many cases', with lines passed by the auctioneers, lhe dairy cattle sale was lifeless. Fat sheep: Black-faces, 23/-; ewes, prime maiden, 20/(i; S.D. ewes, very prime woolly, 24/-; prime woolly ewe«, 17/0; shorn, good to 16/2, medium 14/to 15/8, inferior from 11/1; two-tooth wethers, prime 22/6 to 23/9, good 19/6; heavy wethers, 22/- to 23/3; lambs, 24/-. Stores: Cull ewes, 6/6 to 10/4; ewes and lambs, all counted, 14/8 to 16/-; ewe lambs. 23/7; two-tooth ewes, very good line, 29/3; poor lines, 18/2 to 19/1; black-face hoggets, 20/9. Fat cattle: Shorthorn cows, £4/4/- to £6; Shorthorn heifers, £6/5/- to £4 19/-; Hereford cows, £5/19/- to £6 10/-; Hereford heifers, £6/4/-; P.A. bullocks, £9/7/-; cows, £7/5/-; heifers. £B/6/-; Jersey cows, prime to £5/7/6. light from £2/15/- to £4/5/-; cows and calves to £4/12/6; vealers to £2/la/-. Dannevirke Sale At the Dannevirke stock sale on Thursday Williams and Kettle Ltd. offered a small yarding of sheep and pigs and a good yarding of cattle. A good clearance was effected at the following rates:— Heavy fat ewes, 15/S. Good weaner pigs, 23/6; Jersey fat cows, £2/7/6 to £4/1/-; 22 two and three-year steers, £6/6/-; yearling Jersey heifers, £l/15/to T2/19/-; Jersey heifers r.w.b., £2/7/to £2/9/-; Jersey bulls, £l/15/- to £4 16/-. Marton Sale At the Marton sale on Tuesday the New Zealand Farmers’ Co.-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., had a yarding of 450 sheep, 25 cattle and 40 pigs. There was not a large attendance, but bidding for selected classes of stock was keen. A line of medium 2-th wethers realised 19/-; a small pen of fat wethers 24/6 and a pen of shorn M/A ewes with b.f. lambs at foot 31/9. ' Fat wethers 24/6; fat ewes, good, 14/1 to 14/8; light fat ewes, 13/6; 2-th wtliers, 19/-; shorn M/A ewes with b.f. lambs at foot, 31/9; heavy fat Jersey crossbred cow, £5/12/6; lighter, £2/4/to £3; store cows, 26/6; slips, 20/- to 20/6; good weaners. 11/- to 14/6; small weaners, 8/- to 10/6; light porkers, 25/to 26/-.
