THE KING’S SISTER
Simple Funeral Ceremony (Received December S, 7.30 p.m.) London, December 7. An impenetrable black fog necessitated the earlier departure of their Majesties the King and Queen, members of the Royal Family and other mourners to Windsor for the interment of Princess Victoria in St. George’s Chapel. The service was conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, while the King and his sister, the Queen of Norway, stood beside the coffin. The choir was surrounded by Life Guards, the military and Knights of Windsor in their scarlet robes. The coffin, which w.ts covered by a Union Jack, bore only one white wreath, the King’s, as it was lowered into a vault close to the tombs of the Princess’s father and mother.
