MANSLAUGHTER CASE
Three Youths Sentenced
(Received November 29, L4O p.m.) Sydney, November 29.
Three youths, William Hollebone, Janies Charters and Edward .Smith, were sentenced to ten years’ imprisonment for manslaughter.
A Sydney mesaage of November 27 stated:—ln the Criminal Court to-day, Hollebone, Charters and Smith, charged with having murdered Leslie Hobson, aged 39, at Newtown suburb on October 7, were found guilty of manslaughter and remanded. Evidence disclosed that Hobson, while assisting another man who was outnumbered in a street brawl, was knocked down arc kicked to death. T’n affair was witnessed by several shopkeepers, who were afraid to intervene.
