NAVAL CONTRACTS
Britain to Build 19 New Ships
TOTAL COST £10,000,000
London, September 29. Between now and next February the Admiralty will place contracts for £10,000,000 in accordance with the 193 a construction programme. The scheme comprises two cruisers, one flotilla leader, eight destroyers, two submarines, one depot ship, four sloops, and one surveying ship, and will provide work for 60,000 men. The cruisers ami destroyers will be larger and more powerful than their predecessors. .<
