The thesis of an American publicist that the explanation of the present regimes in Germany and Italy was that they were solely due to the economic positions of those countries was expounded by Mr. L. K. Munro during an address on “The Abyssinian Question” to members of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce. Until Italy was given economic security, Mr. Munro continued, it would be completely impossible to obtain peace. One of her ways to obtain that at the present time was to attack Abyssinia.
