MUSIC CIRCLE EVENING

The music circle of the Pioneer Club held an interesting evening recently, when the greater part of the programme consisted of original compositions. Two ’cello solos and a suite for pianoforte, composed by Mr. Hamilton Dickson, were played by Mr. and Mrs. Dickson respectively. Three songs by Mrs. Harry Tombs were sung by Mrs. Townley; one number by Mr. Robert Parker, and one by Mr. Arthur Fieldhouse were sung by Miss Doris Black, and Mr. Hamilton Dickson sang two of his own compositions. Items presented by Mrs. Lalitte Lees (harp) and the Messrs. Penlington (violin and ’cello) also gave much pleasure to the audience. Mrs. Dickson and Miss Nora Gray were the accompanists.
