WAITAKI OLD BOYS
Dance at Mayfair Cabaret Black and red—the colours of Waitaki Boys’ High School—predominated in the decorations at the Mayfair Cabaret last night, when the Wellington branch of the school’s old boys’ association held its annual dance. There was an*excellent attendance of <id boys and their friends and the dance went off with a decided swing from start to finish. The dance rooms, with their coloured cabaret tables, were gaily decorated with Iceland popflies and'greenery, while the supper rooms were bright with poppies and other spring flowers. A buffet supper was provided, and particularly acceptable was the hot soup that was served at the end of the dance The Mayfair’s , now house band supplied rhythmic music for the dances.
Among the guests was Mr E. R. Dymock. who was one of the first boys to he -enrolled when the school was opened The committee responsible for the arrangements consisted of Mr. W. H. Giedhill (chairman) Mr L. H. Heslop, Mr W O Gibb, Mr F Gallagher. Mr. W Free', Mr. I Macallan, Mr R. F. East. Mr. Clayton. Mr. Brian Reid. Mr. A Sutherland and Dr J Plimmer.
