Senator Pope’s Interview With Sir S. Hoare (British Official Wireless.) Rugby, August 28. Senator Pope, of Idaho, who is a member of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Dnited States Senate, had an interview to-day with the Foreign Secretary, Sir Samuel Hoare. Senator Pope is in London in ■an entirely private capacity, and he was received by the Foreign Secretary at the request of the American Embassy as a distinguished American travelling in Europe. There was no communication of any kind received from him oi given to him. The Foreign Secretary also saw Mr Stanley Bruce, the Australian High Commissioner, and Mr. Frank Walters, one of the Under-Secretaries-General of the League of Nations, who is on a visit to London.
