CASSEROLE STEAK

An appetising way to do steak is as follows: Take the amount of steak required, onions, tomatoes, pepper and salt.

Slice onions into a baking tin or casserole, then a layer of sliced tomatoes. Sprinkle with pepper and salt. Cut the steak into pieces, one for each person, roll in flour and put on top of the two layers. Cover again, first with tomatoes. and then with another layer at onions.

Put enough water to cover the whole and cook very slowly in moderate oven. Thieken gravy and servo very hot.
