A married woman pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court, Wellington yesterday, to stealing shoes and clothing valued at £lO from the shops of George and Doughty, Ltd., and James Smith, Ltd. On the first of three charges the woman, Elsie Pirlo, aged 35, was by Mr E D Mosley. S.M. lined £2, in default fourteen days’ Imprisonment with hard labour, on the second fined £5, in default one month with hard labour, and on the third ordered fo come up for sentence if called upon within twelve months Accused, who pleaded guilty, was represented by Mr, A. J. Mazengarb.
