Wasn’t it exciting last month, waiting for the sales to end and wondering excitedly what new glories those spring goods were going to open to us. And now we know—or have a very good i<iea at any rate! There arc about three entirely new shades; hats are delightful 1 floral silks are a womlerlam| 1 Felicity says there are dozens and dozens of features that are making Spring, 1035, an epoch. “You must have noticed how different everything is,” she urged. “The undies, the scarves, the gloves, th > length of one's skirt, the angle of one’s hat.” Felicity will explain what, she means ■when she begins to tell you how niagniticentlj- the shops have risen to the occasion. A more delightful array of charming spring goods than those now on display in Wellington is hard to imagine. These are Felicity’s observations, and they are really worth while!

I peeped in the door the other day in Lambton Quay, and what a revelation —there were hats for young and hats for old, hats for the plain and hats for the beautiful, hats for small heads and large-fitting hats for matrons. The outstanding models were the fascinating Barnyard Straws of Jubilee Fame, but the new Breton Sailor, was a keen competitor. And every single Paramount model simply sang Spring! Spring Ideas in Lingerie. Nighties and pyjamas this spring are essentially feminine—lace trimming and insertions are most important—nighties are pleated and tucked—pyjamas feature charming new cape and basque effects.
