Leeds City Council to Spend £14,500,000

The Leeds City Council has in hand a vast scheme for rehousing city dwellers, and work will shortly begin on the construction of a big block of 910 fiats to be completed in 20 months. This represents only a small part of the whole scheme, which, at a cost of £14,500,000, aims at rehousing 30,000 families within six and a half years. In connection with the present undertaking, the system of construction adopted at Paris is being introduced, concrete blocks made on the sile being used throughout.
