Following is the weather report and forecast issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, for 24 hours ending 4 p.m. to-day : An anti-cyclone has remained stationary over the Dominion, with relatively low pressure to the north. A depression on the western Tasman ben appeals to have been losing intensity. South-easterly winds at. first in the Cook Strait area: otherwise north-easterly to northerly prevailing. Light to moderate but freshening in the south. Seas smooth to moderate in New Zealand waters.
